Wedding accomplished!

So! The wedding of Sara & Jonny went off without the proverbial hitch!

Family gathered in Hayward, last minute details were nailed down, seven-sheet one-sheets were passed out to said family, pictures were taken, bachelors and bachelorettes were sent off in style, couple was married, song was sung, comedy bit was done...all was well. In the days after, there was (in no particular order) open house, guitar sing-alongs, much verbally-grandiose tomfoolery, the quest to find the newspaper in which the bride and groom's picture would be published, bubble tea and bubble tea virgins (I'm a virgin no more, y'all!), Twinkies, the Mineral and Gem Show, bringing leftover wedding feast to the local homeless shelter, more picture taking, and the Meshuggenah Chicken (aka, El Pollo Loco).

Personal highlights (in no particular order):
-Hiking two trails in one day
-Seeing cows, deer, squirrels, a salamander, and a snake on the second trail, in one hike
-Getting lost in Garin Park in the dark
-The Mineral & Gem Show and all acquisitions from it
-Beading and being able to replace the bracelet I broke
-Getting up to sing in front of an audience
-Banter with various folks (Sara, Jon and Adam, mostly)
-Wireless Internet in the comfort of my own guest room
-Laughing my ass off several times
-Uncle Allen's bit with the podium in the elevator
-John's linguistic pyrotechnics
-Those Twinkies (damn you yet again, Adam...)
-Errands and lunch with Joseph, time spent with Marlene
-Hanging with Sara and Jon, being able to share in their magical time

I am so grateful to have been included. My second family is a good one...

Mazel tov to Mr. & Mrs. Masters Doctor!!!
